These video clips are from our simulated competition, focusing on good approaches with ENERGY at the bar!

Video #1 - Interesting approach with short choppy steps. I see step 6 your foot turn with toe pointing very hard to the left. That puts you on a stright line to the center of the bar more than a circular turn. Step 8-9 is chopped very short to create space at the bar. I think step 10 is too far from the bar and you need to jump at an angle to get over to the pit. You obviously got tons of hops at the bar, but we can do a lot to have your approach add Energy to your high jumping!

Video #2 - A little better approach shape here (more circular turn), but very similar to the first video...

Video #3 - Improvement. Enough of a circular turn so that you have good Lean through the entire turn. Lean away into a pretty good vertical release of the jump = some un-leaning "throw" toward the pit. This is how the takeoff mechanics are supposed to look - very nice jump!

Video #4 - Pace-up sounds good, but is due more to shortening steps 7-8-9-10 than you actually speeding up. Still enough speed for some Lean and a good attempt, but we want to work on a more genuine pace-up for Energy at the bar.

Video #5 - Look at the release frames of video on this jump - not too vertical. You jump from far away and land pretty deep into the pit - a long-jump of sorts. Your arms also drive and "lead" well before your drive leg, need to work on the Together drill... I would say your arms are "leading not lifting".

Video #6 - Shoulders turned away from bar at 9-10 is a defensive posture that robs some energy right at the end of the approach. Another respectable try at 5-8, but just lots of little flaws ganging up on each other...
