Video #1 - 4-10 height here, I think. Great speed on approach. Arms are under control and back on 9 together, like we want. Takeoff spot is a little far away from the bar. Shoulder turn-away is still an issue! Lean is gone as 10 hits the ground, so release is not vertical and you fall through the bar a bit. Not a bad attempt for the height, but shoulder turn-away is your albatross!
Video #2 - Arm pull-back on 9 looks good on this 4-8 clearance. Last frame with toe on the ground - what do you see? Shoulder turn-away is not as bad here, but arms are still in that tight rotation and barely make it up to face-high. Release is not vertical, which means we need to work on better Lean. Video #3 - This is actually a very good looking attempt at a higher height - just broke the arch too early here. Other than that, this jump gets pretty good marks on all the other stuff we're working on! Video #4 - Again don't like the shoulder turn - your shoulder line is at times nearly parallel to the crossbar line before you leave the ground. Nice job on this one of keepin "Above" your hips and driving upward. Good arch with chin up and you can see the curve of the parabola at the top of this jump - just need to delay the break a little longer. Video #5 - Shoulders are a little better on this one, but you never get into your arch... Video #6 - 4-step: Plant-foot line is parallel to bar instead of facing the upright. Left arm is not helping at all. Release angle is into the pit which of course means no Lean in this turn... Plenty to work on! NICE arch and break timing - you seem to do this better on your 4-step jumps! Video #7 - Toe point is worse on this one! Nice job on the "above" & arch & break timing again... Video #8 - Similar jump except the arch never gets there... Video #9 - Plant toe, shoulder direction, left arm... NICE arch!!! Break is a little early but good enough to clear! Video #10 - Last full of the day... Do you like what you see? The same few problems on most of your jumps now. It's not a disaster, but we have some tough habits to break! |
