Video #1 - REALLY nice strong pacing and energy on this jump. Finish with arms nice and high, although the release is not as vertical as we'd like. I see your face in front of your arm in every frame of the video, so your head is not back arching as desired. Good high landing on your shoulders though!
Video #2 - This one you can really see the "see-saw" effect where your shoulders are going DOWN into the pit while your drive knee and hips are still going upward. Need to stay "Above" and have hips drive shoulders upward... Video #3 - AMAZING pacing on this approach! Look at the energy in this jump and how you are THROWN over when you land on the mat - really COOL! This is the energy we want!!! Video #4 - Great pacing here, too, and over 4-2 pretty easily! Video #5 - Takeoff location (of Step 10) is just too close to the crossbar to get up and over 4-4. Need to adjust back more to make sure there's room to get up and over at these higher heights for you. Video #6 - Too close to the bar again so you strike it while still rising. Need to be AWARE that you're striking very early in the jump, which is a sign to pull back your mark to give yourself more room to rise up to the top of the jump... |
