Video #1 - Example of a poor "J" shape - 7 is on the 1-6 line, push off 7, then 8-9-10 are on a very straight line. Lean in 6-7-8 is gone
by 9 & 10. Arm-lead to bar is not too bad on this one, and initial arch while rising looks very good. Arch breaks in the first frame where
you are falling though - need to control this break to make your higher heights.
Video #2 - Same "harsh" turn here at steps 6 to 7, shoulders turn abruptly to the bar with your vision. Not the softer turn we've been working on lately. More pronounced arm-lead on this jump to compensate for no un-leaning effect at the bar. In the last frame fully arched you can see that the apex of your arch is well ABOVE but BEHIND the crossbar. Same early break of your arch again, too... Video #3 - VERY straight 8-9-10, OK release, but it is great timing in flight that allows this clearance of a higher height. Video #4 - OK this is a HUGE jump off the ground! But the break due to "falling reflex" kills it - we need to work on controlling this reflex to delay your break - talking in the air and other drills... Video #5 - Step 6 is pretty far out on this one. So 7-8-9-10 are reaching and straight to get there, but still far away on 10. So more arm-lead into the bar than usual for you, and a low horizontal trajectory through the bar... Step 6 placement is SO critical!!! |
