Video #1 - Good work on increasing the ramp-up of your pacing. This will help in the long run. Plenty to work on though: Some step-out on step 7, last frame with toe still on the ground shows arm lead and an early arch. Shoulders are turned away from the bar beginning at step 9 - this is a defensive posture and we want to be on the attack! I can also see your face in every frame of this video as you cross over the bar, which means you're not getting an arch in your chin.
Video #2 - More than the first jump, this one has the Ryan Montgomery chop-steps to make the pacing sound right. You can see this because you end up with step 10 too far away from the bar, meaning your steps were shorter instead of faster. Same chin-on-chest stalls the jump for a flat back landing with no whip. Video #3 - I think this was a 4'8" attempt. See your step 10 is closer to the bar meaning you ramped-up SPEED at the end to get the pacing - much better. Arm lead is at least more vertical in the plant, but that arm swings down right after takeoff, robbing you of some lift. Nice arch of your back on this jump - if we ever get your chin where it should be you will have STELLAR arch! |
