These video clips are from our first practice together, focusing mostly on a good Approach.

Video #1 - Shape of your J approach is very nice! A little "delay" between 8 and 9 can be detected if you count along with the video at normal speed (not uncommon - look at Taylor S. videos from 7/19). We will work to get rid of that as Taylor has... Between step 9 and 10 you completely turn away from the bar, so step 10 is almost a side step across your body - this is also something we will work to correct. We worked on your arms later in practice, but see how here it looks like your elbows are pinned to your sides?

Video #2 - Look at the frame of video with a definite big gap between your plant-foot toe and the ground. Imagine if your shoulders were still "Above" your hips at this point how high this jump would be? We saw that some in the scissor jumps we did later in practice; but here you see your shoulders are not staying "Above" so much. Still a good clearance for you as we work on getting a reliable approach and some energy at the bar!

Video #3 - This is one where your drive knee tips your upper body back - like the tipping bird toy! We did improve this to a large extent toward the end of practice...

Video #4 - I like that your arms end up nice and high - away from your body on this one. We will work on the timing of the arm drive which will help even more in getting lift at the bar.

Video #5 - A pretty good jump here! I think we improved even more by the end of practice with a 3-10 clearance. ALL of these jumps you show good knee-through and crossing the bar perpendicular - which is the first thing we changed in your jumping. I see a lot of potential here - it is just a matter of "learning the ropes" over time!
